Barbara Benson

Chief Financial Officer, Cambium Learning Group

Barbara Benson has served as the Chief Financial Officer of Cambium Learning since 2013. Barbara provides unmatched insight, direction, guidance, and financial expertise to help Cambium achieve strategic objectives, allowing others to focus on the people, not the commercial element. She is a focused, hands-on, action-oriented leader with deep technical expertise and proven analytical, budget/forecasting, and accounting skills.

Barbara holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Baylor University, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the state of Texas. She previously served as Controller of Cambium Learning Group, Inc. from 2009 to 2013 before stepping into the CFO role. She was the Controller of the Voyager Learning Company from 2007 to 2009 and has held other detailed financial positions, including in Big 4 public accounting, public company, and private equity in a variety of industries.
