Ashley Andersen Zantop

Ashley began her career in education over 25 years ago as an elementary school teacher and collegiate coach, igniting her passion for social impact. Since then, she has devoted her work to closing the opportunity gap and creating great outcomes in education through the power of social enterprise and innovation. She has spent over 20 years in publishing, technology, media and ecommerce for PK - 12 education for school and home, in public, private and nonprofit sectors in North America, Africa, Asia, Europe, the UK and South America.
Ashley holds a bachelor’s degree in education and a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of Michigan, teaching certifications K-5 and 6-8, and a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from Fairfield University with concentrations in fiction and screenwriting. She also has a certificate in Media Strategy from Harvard Business School, Executive Function in the Classroom from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and Design Thinking instruction from Ideo U. Ashley joined Cambium in 2020 as COO, overseeing the Lexia and Cambium Assessment business units, operational enablement teams, ESG and M&A. Before that, Ashley served in C-suite executive leadership roles at GreaterGood, Capstone, and Trudy Corporation (later Palm Publishing). She serves on the SIIA’s government affairs council and has served on the board of directors and executive committee for the SIIA's education division and co-chaired the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. She is the co-founder and former co-president of the Fairfield University MFA Alumni Association and the author of Now What? The Creative Writer’s Guide to Success After the MFA, using her talents to help others learn and grow.
