Reflecting on Rosetta Stone English’s Rebrand to Lexia English Language Development
Official rebrand of Rosetta Stone® English to Lexia® English Language Development™ (Lexia English). The new brand reflects Lexia’s expanded, yet singular focus on literacy.
As I reflect on the last several months since Lexia® Learning was acquired by Cambium Learning® Group, I am amazed by just how quickly our employees worked to manage an enormous amount of change: new teams, new structures, and new products to learn -- all in a virtual environment. And, as of earlier this week, there is another exciting change: the official rebrand of Rosetta Stone® English to Lexia® English Language Development™ (Lexia English). The new brand reflects Lexia’s expanded, yet singular focus on literacy.
Lexia English is an adaptive blended learning program designed to help Emergent Bilingual students – also known as English language learners – acquire higher language proficiency levels of English. While the product’s name and look have been refreshed, the curriculum will stay the same. In addition to renaming the product, we’re releasing version 2.0, which contains new tools to help English language learners as they learn academic English and will empower educators to streamline instruction and ensure their efficacy.
At Lexia, we have had a long history of helping students acquire the skills they need in order to have the opportunity to succeed both in school and in life. However, the reality is that there is an equity and opportunity gap that exists among K-12 students. So, while the logo has changed, our goal remains the same: to drive meaningful and systemic change and improve student literacy performance — because, as our mission states, literacy can and should be for all.
Cambium Learning Group focuses on the three essential elements of simplicity, certainty and now. As part of the Cambium family, Lexia continues to focus on making a difference by embracing these elements in all we do. I have no doubt that Lexia English will continue to help our education partners accomplish their equity goals by ensuring even more students grow their literacy skills.
